Implant-retained prosthetics, such as Nobel Biocare's All-on-4 dental implants, are changing the lives of patients who have dentures. All-on-4 dental implants offer a comprehensive way to fasten dentures for a full-arch restoration. This treatment works by inserting the screws (implants) into four areas on each arch. In contrast to other implant dentures, All-on-4 utilizes fewer implants to get a secure fit. We generally recommend All-on-4 implants if you want a fully restored mouth without the hassle and dietary restrictions that come with removable dentures. Many San Diego, CA patients have enjoyed the advantages of the All-on-4 procedure because of the high-quality results. Want to learn more about All-on-4 implants and custom-made dentures? For patients tired of dealing with removable dentures, All-on-4 implants might be a great choice. One of our dentists will place four titanium implants into your upper and lower arch. Generally, All-on-4 implants are more secure since they integrate into the bone and attach to custom dentures. You may be an good candidate for All-on-4 if you prefer the benefits of implant-supported dentures over removable dentures, which include no or few dietary restrictions, no messy glues, and no special cleaning. Additionally, patients will need sufficient bone and gum density to receive implants because the screws rely upon your gums and bone to hold them in position. If necessary, bone and/or gum grafts may be performed before implant surgery. We can determine if this procedure is best for you during your consultation.
"This place has been good so far. They are friendly and professional. Office is very clean and modern. Location is convenient if you are any where near point Loma. Ruben is an all-star extremely informative and has great communication, a pleasure to deal with. Dr Casey seems real down to earth and also easy to deal with. Overall my experience has been good and I would reccomend this spot."- J.F. / Google / Nov 13, 2019
"I have come here three times for cleanings/procedures and every time it has been excellent, everyone I have interacted with here has been 100/10. I came here yesterday to extract 4 of my wisdom teeth and I did not feel a thing, and even today I feel normal expect for the 4 holes in my mouth. I would like to thank Jamie and Melissa P. who were amazing throughout this process, and everyone else that I interacted with. I would attach a pic of my teeth (that came out super clean and in one piece) but that’s kind of gross."- P.S. / Yelp / Sep 03, 2020
"Had an appt with Lisa and she is the sweetest! Walked me through the whole process step by step as to what she was doing. Very happy with her and will always be coming back for her specifically. She made me feel so comfortable because normally I’m not a big fan of going in to the dentist in general but had a great experience with her and I’m happy with the way I look and feel now. Thanks Lisa!"- S.C. / Yelp / Sep 03, 2020

What to Expect
First, we will take digital scans and x-rays of your teeth. After reviewing the x-rays, we will develop a unique treatment program and go over your options for sedation. During your first treatment, one of our dentists will place the implants. Once we anchor the implants, we place a temporary denture over the implant to allow your mouth to heal and give us time to create your custom dentures. In several months, you should return to have your custom dentures attached and fitted.
After implant surgery, you may feel some discomfort and pain in your gums. When wearing your temporary dentures, you will have a few diet restrictions and cleaning instructions to follow. Additionally, patients should come in for routine follow-ups throughout the healing process so we can check your recovery and make sure implants integrate into your bone socket and gums. As soon as your custom dentures have been set, you can clean them just like natural teeth with daily flossing and brushing. You should continue to visit Dental Express for annual exams and biannual cleanings to maintain your dentures, and so we can monitor the health of your gums and jawbone.
Some insurance companies may provide partial coverage for custom dentures and All-on-4 implants. It's likely that you will have some personal expenses, but our staff will work with your insurance to maximize your coverage. If you don't have insurance, Dental Express accepts numerous payment methods, such as low-interest financing. Our team can help make the All-on-4 procedure fit into your budget.
