"So last night my wisdom tooth started hurting, I took some Advil and hoped for the best. I ended up getting zero sleep and was in tears this morning (excruciating pain!) I called dental express early this morning and they told me to hurry in. The front are was pretty busy for a gross and rainy Saturday morning but they rushed me in back. Tanae was my nurse and was so kind and understanding especially considering I had no sleep and no coffee hahaha! Anyways the dentist and tanae made sure I was good and numb and got that wisdom tooth out ASAP. I was in and out in an hour. Thank you again dental express for saving my weekend and my mouth."- K.O. / Yelp / Mar 14, 2020
"Ed is really nice and professional. He will be honest and helpful. Brittny was really nice and really patient ! Good place , good staff"- E.E. / Yelp / Mar 12, 2020
"I was in need of a last minute dentist for my son who had been complaining of a tooth ache, I expected this 1st visit to be the usual xrays and exam, maybe a cleaning, I called around 3:15p and to my surprise was given a 4p apt, and not only was the check in quick but he was seen right away and they even fixed all his cavities in the same appt and we were done by 5p in time for their baseball practice. I was a little skeptical about going downtown to a dentist but once inside the interior decor alone was amazing, being a homeowner I could tell alot of thought and time went into the interior and to see that at a dental office was very impressive. The Dr was awesome , professional and quick and did a great job with my son. My family is definitely switching to this dental office and I would gladly refer anyone I know to this office as well."- N.R. / Yelp / Mar 05, 2020
There are lots of instances in which a laser gum treatment could be performed. If you have periodontal disease, the laser can be employed to eliminate plaque and bacteria that is deep in the pockets of your gum tissue. For a biopsy, the laser is used to excise tissue in the needed area. Laser gum therapy can also help if you wish to get rid of excess gum tissue and then increase teeth visibility to get a more attractive smile. Compared to classic surgery on the gums, laser gum therapies are less invasive and don't require stitches. You may need little or no anesthesia during this gum treatment and less healing time.
What to Expect
A laser gum treatment generally only needs local anesthesia. Nevertheless, other sedation choices could be available if you have anxiety. Before your procedure, our team will provide information about being treated for gum disease, getting a dental biopsy, having crown lengthening, or undergoing cosmetic gum sculpting. The laser minimizes bleeding and frequently omits the need for stitches.
Our team will provide you with post-treatment care instructions before you are allowed to leave. Since your gums may be sore or swollen, you may choose to stick to a liquid or soft food diet for a few days. For gum disease treatment or crown lengthening, you might want to schedule a follow-up appointment so we can assess your recovery and decide if a second treatment is necessary. When a biopsy has been performed, you may need to come back to our office to receive your results. If oral cancer is diagnosed, one of our dentists will discuss your treatment options and what to do next.
Once your laser gum treatment plan is created, our team will go over the payment options. Dental Express accepts lots of payment methods, including low-interest medical financing. If you have insurance, we can contact your provider to determine your coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
